5 Things I Learned at my First Invite Only YouTube Event
The future of YouTube is AI whether you like it or not
While I was in Wisconsin for a friend’s wedding, I got invited by my YouTube manager to attend ATL’s Creator Day in Atlanta!
It was a very last-minute choice to go because I didn't plan to travel twice within two weeks (I dislike planes lol), but the opportunity was just too good to pass up.
So once I confirmed my interest and applied to go, I was selected! I was even selected for the creators’ roundtable talk with YouTube experts, where we creators had the opportunity to talk about what works and what needs to change on YouTube.
It was a fantastic way to share our concerns, and it really felt like the YouTube team was listening to our suggestions and wanted us to be honest. I thought I would have been nervous, but I didn't hold back from voicing my frustrations with YouTube lol (inconsistent moderation of content was at the top of my list!)
After the round table talk, we got a tour of the Google office headquarters in Atlanta (which was huge, OMG). We mingled with the rest of the creators and had the pleasure of learning about upcoming YouTube features, which I will discuss shortly.
Overall, the event was great, and here are five things I learned while I was there.
1. AI Is Not Going Anywhere
This is a hard pill to swallow, but after attending this event, I’ve concluded that AI is not going anywhere.
